Thanks to the popularity of our last six reunions, we return to the Valley Railroad in Essex, CT for our 2024 Annual Reunion and Train Show! This exciting venue, central to the New Haven Railroad region, offers reunion attendees the opportunity to ride the Valley Railroad's steam train on the former NHRR Connecticut Valley Line!***
Schedule of Events
9:45a - 10:45a: Rare Mileage Special Train*
10:00a - 3:00p: Train Show, NHRR-related Clinics, Presentations and Movies
3:30p - 4:30p: Valley Railroad Shop Tour*
6:00p - Cash Bar “Cocktail Hour”**
7:00p - BUFFET DINNER** PLEASE NOTE: RESERVATION DEADLINE 9-9-24
Includes:
"Steam Train Signature Salad"--baby field greens garnished with crumbled goat cheese, candied walnuts, and strawberries, dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette.
Penne Pasta Marinara
Red Bliss Roasted Potatoes
Green Beans Almondine
Chicken Farci--Boneless Breast stuffed with Cranberry and herbs, lightly glazed with White Wine cream sauce and garlic.
Beef Bourguignon--braised beef marinated in cabernet, shallots & peppercorns
Salmon Filet--baked salmon, with a lemon dill butter glaze
Dinner Buffet FOLLOWED BY presentation from Jack Swanberg, noted New Haven RR author, historian and former employee.
As in the past, we will have a variety of railroad-related vendors, so come on down to former NYNH&H property and enjoy the Show— Its a NEW HAVEN RAILROAD DAY FOR ONE AND ALL!
*The special train and shop tour are free-of-charge and for NHRHTA Members Only. (Tickets available at NHRHTA tables.)

Deadline for payment for Dinner reservations is SEPTEMBER 9th.
***Tickets to ride the VRR’s regular trains must be purchased from The Valley RR at the Essex Station ticket office on the day of the Show.
